The Barrie Colts annual blue-white game was played Thursday night at the BMC with Team Blue winning in a shoot-out. Barrie begins their pre-season schedule in Owen Sound on Sunday, September 5th, and host the Attack at 6:00 p.m. on Labour Day. Click here for more.

The Barrie Colts have traded goaltender Mavric Parks to the Saginaw Spirit in exchange for forward Mark Scheifele and a second round pick in 2012.
Parks played in 14 regular season games and 10 playoff games for Barrie last season and went a combined 18-4-2.

BARRIE ACQUIRES MACKENZIE BRAID

The Barrie Colts have announced that they have completed a trade with the Niagara IceDogs. Coming to Barrie is 1993 defenceman Mackenzie Braid, who has yet to play a game in the OHL. The Colts gave up a conditional 11th round pick in 2012. Click here for more.

COLTS SIGN 3RD ROUND PICK
|
The Barrie Colts have come to terms with six-foot defenseman Brandon Devlin. Devlin was selected by the Colts in the third round of the 2010 OHL Priority Selection with the 55th overall pick. Last season he played in 60 games for the Brampton Battalion AAA Minor Midget and posted 18 goals and 40 assists for 58 points, with 30 penalty minutes and a plus-45 rating.
