We’re very proud of our Adopt A School program.
The goal of the program is to provide schools in the Barrie area with the opportunity to raise funds for needed projects at their schools and to help promote sportsmanship and school spirit. Each year, the Barrie Colts donate over $45,000 to schools in the community. How Does it Work? Simple. The Barrie Colts and your school will pick a game night that will be your schools game. The Colts will provide your school with tickets for your game at a discounted group price. Your school then sells those tickets to parents, faculty and students. The Barrie Colts then donate 50% of the amount sold to your school! But it’s not just about raising money. On the night of your game your school also will receive:
• Your School Choir sings the national anthem at centre ice on your game night
• Your School logo will be up on our video screen along with a PA announcement letting fans know this is your night
In order to help you promote your night, Charlie Horse, the Colts Mascot, and a few Colts players will appear at your school assembly a couple of weeks before your game to promote the event and talk about the importance of participating in sports and school activities. The Colts will help you promote the event by providing you with a poster that you can display on bulletin boards and a one page promotional piece/letter that your school can photo copy and distribute to parents and students.
